The On Sale Model is a recommendation model designed to highlight discounted products in your store. It showcases items currently on sale, helping you draw customer attention to great deals and boost sales of discounted products. This model can also be grouped by collections, allowing merchants to feature sale items from specific categories or collections.

How it works?

The model identifies products that are on sale by checking the Compare at Price and Price values. If a product’s price is lower than its compare-at price, it is flagged as a sale item.

Once sale items are detected, they are organized into a list, ensuring that only discounted products are included in the recommendations.

Recommended Placements

We recommend placing the Visually Similar Items Model on the Home page and Collection Page. 

Limitations

The model relies on the Compare at Price and Price fields to identify sale items. If these fields are not correctly defined or updated for your products, the model may fail to detect items on sale.
