PersonalizerAI has six plans with flat monthly prices. There are no usage charges and no revenue share. You start on the Free plan and can stay on it as long as you want.

The "Best for" column is a sizing guide only. The app does not meter your orders.
How billing works
You pick a plan on Shopify's subscription page and approve the charge once. The charge appears on your normal Shopify invoice. Shopify then bills the plan each cycle on its own. You can change or cancel your plan at any time — see Plans, billing & limits.
The Free plan and search
(Starter plan and up) The Free plan serves keyword search only. Semantic search and AI query understanding start on the Starter plan. Keyword search matches the words in the query. Semantic search also matches the meaning — "warm jacket for winter" finds parkas. See How search works.
Settings your plan does not run
Setup asks you to switch search features on before it asks you to pick a plan. Some of those features start on a paid plan. You can still switch them on — nothing stops you, and nothing is lost — but your storefront does not use them until your plan includes them.
So you are never guessing, two screens tell you:
- Setup step 3 marks each search feature that starts on a paid plan, next to the switch.
- Setup step 5 and the Billing screen list the ones you have switched on that your current plan does not run, and name the plan each one starts on.
If your plan already runs everything you have set up, neither screen shows anything. Staying on Free is a normal choice: keyword search and every recommendation widget work on it.
Your settings are kept either way. If you move to a plan that includes a feature, it starts running with the settings you already saved — you do not set it up again. If you move to a lower plan, the feature stops running and the settings stay where they are.
What happens when you pass a limit
The app never stops and never charges an overage. When you pass a monthly limit, the app degrades gracefully until the month resets:
- Over the recommendations limit — personalization pauses until next month: widgets based on a shopper's own browsing or orders show trending products and best sellers instead. Product-page and cart recommendations keep serving as normal.
- Over the AI searches limit — search continues, in keyword mode. Searches are unlimited on every plan.
- Over the product limit — the extra products wait as "queued". See Your first data sync.
A banner on the Home screen warns you at 80% of a monthly limit. The fix is an upgrade, on your schedule.
Change your plan
- Open the app in your Shopify admin.
- Go to Billing.
- Under Plans, click Choose on the plan you want, for example Choose Growth. You can also click Manage plan on your current plan card. Shopify's plan page opens.
- Select the plan on the Shopify plan page.
- Approve the charge.
For the Custom plan, click Contact us on the Custom card, or email support@personalizerai.com. The Billing screen shows the same address. We set the Custom plan up for your store as a private plan on Shopify, and you approve it on Shopify like the other plans.
